School Security Guard Services in Los Angeles
Sharp Guard Group provides school security guards in Los Angeles for private and charter schools, K-12 campuses, preschools and colleges. Our BSIS-licensed officers (PPO #18098) are background-checked and trained in de-escalation. They manage drop-off and pick-up, check visitors, patrol campus perimeters and support lockdown and emergency drills.
What Our School Security Guards Do
Schools need security that keeps students safe without making the campus feel like a prison. Our school security officers control entrances and visitor check-in, monitor drop-off and pick-up, patrol hallways, fields and parking lots, watch for trespassers and fights, support lockdown and emergency drills, and report incidents to administrators. They become a calm, familiar presence that students and staff trust.

Private School Security in Los Angeles
Private, faith-based and charter schools often have open campuses and fewer staff to watch them. We provide officers who fit your school culture.
- Uniformed or soft-look officers
- Visitor and parent check-in at the front office
- Coverage for after-school programs and events
Drop-Off, Pick-Up and Visitor Check-In
The busiest and most exposed times of the school day are arrival, dismissal and visitor traffic. Our officers manage all three.
- Traffic and curb management at drop-off and pick-up
- Visitor ID checks and badges
- Pick-up list checks when your policy requires them
Campus Safety Assessment
We review entrances, fencing, cameras and your emergency plan with administrators, then recommend posts and hours.
Child-Safe Officers
Every officer passes a Live Scan background check, and we can add school-specific screening and training.
Emergency Drill Support
Officers learn your lockdown, evacuation and reunification procedures and take part in every drill.

College and University Campus Security
Colleges and universities have open campuses, evening classes, residence halls and large events. We provide patrol officers, building and residence-hall access control, event security and night escorts for students and staff. On large campuses, golf cart patrols help officers cover more ground quickly.
Licensed, Trained and Insured School Security
Every Sharp Guard Group officer holds an active California BSIS guard card, has passed a Live Scan background check and works under our Private Patrol Operator license PPO #18098. Armed officers also hold BSIS firearm permits. School officers are briefed on your safety plan, visitor policy and student privacy rules before the first day. We carry general liability insurance and can send a certificate of insurance on request. Sharp Guard Group has served Los Angeles since 2015.
How Much Does School Security Cost?
Cost depends on the number of posts, school hours, after-school events and contract length. We quote after a campus walk.
After-School and Event Coverage
Games, graduations, fundraisers and evening events get extra officers for entrances, crowds and parking.
Working With Administrators
Officers follow your policies and report to the person you choose, usually the principal or operations director.
Summer and Break Security
Campuses are empty during breaks. Patrols protect buildings from break-ins and vandalism.
